Icing Protocol 10-10-10 - blood flow pump

Icing can be very helpful to create a blood flow pump to bring more oxygen and nutrients to a particular muscle or area of the body.  

I use a plastic zip lock freezer bag filled with corn syrup. It doesn't cost much and  doesn't freeze solid.  You can use the blue kind too if you have one.

Wet the end of a kitchen towel with warm water.
Place the towel on the affected area and then place the cold pack on top.  Wrap the cold pack with the rest of the towel to keep it cool.

Leave it on for 10 minutes.

Place the cold pack back in the freezer and then wait 10 min. to repeat and go back to the beginning.
